Joseph and Valerie Wilson - Update April 10, 2007:
Joseph and Valerie Wilson have been two real heroes during these last dismal 6 years of the Bush-Cheney administration. When Joe Wilson blew the whistle on the lies used to sell the Iraq war, Cheney and Rove retaliated, as Cheney would say, 'big-time'. In attempting to discredit Ambassador Wilson, they outed his wife, a career undercover agent at the CIA, and in so doing destroyed the WMD counter-proliferation network she ran overseas. Cheney undoubtedly was happy to get rid of an all-too expert CIA anti-WMD operation which annoyingly insisted on accurate intelligence, and the lesson would be clear to anyone else tempted to step out of line and call the administration on the lies they sold to start a war.
Cheney's Chief of Staff Lewis Libby has been convicted on lying and perjury charges; his part in protecting Cheney. Joe and Valerie Wilson are pressing their civil case against Cheney Rove, Libby, and Armitage, with the support of the CREW.

13 Apr 2007: Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) have asked Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald to reopen his investigation of Karl Rove's role in disclosing Valerie Plame Wilson's status as a covert CIA operative in light of recent revelations about missing White House email.

On the evening of the verdict in the Libby trial, Joseph C. Wilson appeared on Larry King Live, during which he announced that he and his wife had signed a deal with Warner Brothers to consult on a movie to be based in part on Valerie Wilson's forthcoming book "Fair Game". The film is scheduled for release in August 2007 (contingent on CIA clearances)
